Surrender to desire with pure authenticity is equal to the creation of art.  Without it, our emotional force withers and paves the way to mediocrity.  Art captures the essence of truth.  Art captures us...  NK

about

Naera Kim is an independent fine art photographer and illustrator, originally based in New York City and a graduate of Parsons School of Design. Her photographs aim to re-imagine fragments from memories, presence and situations while leaving space open-ended to invoke as many interpretations as possible.

A passionate advocate for emerging artists with an eye for unique and vibrant creative talent, Naera Kim’s interests lie in intimately understanding and promoting the outstanding narratives of her represented artists. Naera was an art curator and directed and managed exhibitions in well-known venues, such as One Art Space Gallery and Ed Bennett Media in NYC, which has established her as a sought-after, respected presence among art collectors and artists. She also gets hired by other brands to curate specific collections and exhibitions within their auspices. She has worked with such notable artists as Rubin and Robert Whitman.

Growing up in an artistic household, she inherited her deep understanding of art from her father who was a famous political satirist and comic book cartoonist, who was active in South Korea from the 1950s to the late 1970s. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Seoul Cartoon Museum in South Korea.
